အတြက္ จะแปลว่า เพราะ ได้ไหม

อย่างคำ --တဲ့အတြက္  ။ သည့္အတြက္

1.ประการแรก အတြက္ เป็น indicating intention  คำแสดงเจตนารมณ์

อังกฤษคือ because of; on account of.
เช่นนั้น ไปดูคำว่า "เพราะว่า" แบบ อังกฤษ มีคำไหนบ้าง

- กลุ่ม 1 - ต้องตามด้วยประโยคได้แก่ because, as ,since, for (สำหรับคำว่า for ในความหมายนี้มันจะดูเก่าๆ แล้วครับ ส่วนมากจะใช้กับพวกเพลง หรือบทกวี) เช่น

Since I love you, I can give you anything you want.
(เพราะฉันรักเธอ ฉันสามารถให้เธอได้ทุกอย่างที่เธอต้องการ)

Take my hand and take my whole life too, for I can't help falling in love with you.
(เอามือฉันไปเลยและเอาชีวิตฉันไปด้วยนะ เพราะฉันห้ามตัวเองไม่ให้รักเธอไม่ได้จริงๆ)

- กลุ่ม 2 - ต้องตามด้วยคำนามหรือสรรพนาม ได้แก่ because of , due to, on account of, owing to, thanks to, by/in virtue of, as a result of, in view of เช่น

I'm the happiest man in the world thanks to you.
(ผมเป็นผู้ชายที่มีความสุขที่สุดในโลกเพราะคุณเลยนะ)

He got promoted by virtue of hard work and unrivalled experience.
(เขาได้รับเลื่อนขั้นเพราะการทำงานบากบั่นและประสบการณ์ที่ไม่มีใครเทียบเทียมได้)

*นอกจากนั้นบางคำได้แก่ due to, owing to, thanks to นั้นสามารถตามด้วยประโยคก็ได้ แต่ต้องเติมคำว่า "the fact that" เข้าไปก่อนครับ เช่น

He is greatly respected due to the fact that he has made big donations to our Ministry.
(เขาได้รับความนับถือมากเนื่องจากเขาได้บริจาคเงินจำนวนมหาศาลให้กระทรวงของเรา)
